The idea of a Stronger Together Professional Development Forum was 'born' in 2022 by a team of four, who wanted to bring financial mentors together to learn, encourage and network with others in the sector.  The founders were Tony Agar (Manager, Hamilton Budgeting Advisory Service), Sarah Malin (CBNZ, Christian Budgeting New Zealand), Christine Liggins (Debtfix Foundation) and Sarah Matafeo-Ross (Te Aroha Family Budgeting Services).

Following it's success in June 2023, the group were mad enough to start putting together a second Stronger Together Forum in 2025.  Deanna Harrison (FinCap) and Christine Singer (Budget House Taupo) joined to the team to organise 2025's event.

Following the resounding success of the second forum, work will soon be underway to organise the third one. Look out for surveys in November so you can have your say on the workshops and presentations for next year. Debtfix 's Christine and CBNZ 's Sarah will be spearheading this event once more, with the support and encouragement of FInCap. 

The Awards will continue, however, no-one will need to apply for Long Service Awards as these will be done automatically by FinCap.  Please make sure they have all your training records, especially when you began as a financial mentor/budget advisor to make sure that longevity is properly recognised.
